Selection at the Landlocked International Film Festival in Iowa City
Quad-Cities
- Fourth Wall Films' award-winning "Villisca: Living with a Mystery" is
an Official Selection at the new Landlocked International Film Festival in Iowa City.
The documentary details the 1912 late night axe murders of the entire Josiah Moore family
of six and two young overnight guests, and the affect the crime had on Villisca, a small
Southwest Iowa town. The still-unsolved axe murder created a lasting community split
over the guilt or innocence of a local State Senator, and produced three sensational
trials.
The inaugural Landlocked International Film Festival will present documentaries, dramas,
shorts, animation and experimental movies from 3 minutes to 2 hours in length. The
festival takes place August 9-11 in downtown Iowa City, and all screenings are FREE to the
public.Visit www.llff.org for more information about the
film festival schedule.
The Rundles reside in Moline, Illinois where they are the owners of Fourth Wall Films, an
independent film and video production company. Visit VilliscaMovie.com for more information on
America's greatest unsolved mystery.
