"Villisca" Mystery is Official Selection at Cedar Rapids Independent Film Festival

March 6, 2006

LOS ANGELES, CA--The critically acclaimed documentary "Villisca: Living with a Mystery," by filmmakers Kelly and Tammy Rundle, is an official selection for the upcoming Cedar Rapids Independent Film Festival.  "Villisca" will screen on Friday, April 7, 2006 at 8:00pm and on Saturday, April 8, 2006 at 10:30am at the Collins Road Theatres in Marion, Iowa.

The Cedar Rapids event will be the second film festival for  "Villisca."    The film had a successful 49-city theatrical release over 14-months that qualified it for the Academy Award competition in the documentary feature category.   The film explores the still-unsolved 1912 Villisca, Iowa axe murder mystery, and the resulting chaos and division in the small rural community.

"Villisca: Living with a Mystery" is available on a full-featured DVD at over 60 retail and rental stores, and at Amazon.com and VilliscaMovie.com.

Kelly and Tammy are the owners of Fourth Wall Films, an independent film and video production company.  They are currently in production on "Lost Nation: The Ioway," a documentary exploring Iowa's original Native American inhabitants, the gradual loss of their ancestral lands, and dissolution of their unique culture.  "Lost Nation" will premiere in Des Moines at the State Historical Society of Iowa in October 2007.
